Prince Charles visiting Imenco in Scotland

“The prince, known as the Duke of Rothesay when in Scotland, spent about an hour at the Imenco base at the airport industrial estate”, the Scottish newspaper Caithness Courier wrote August 1.

The Norwegian engineering company Imenco, with its HQ in Tysvær, has a subsidiary in Wick, Scotland. Caithness Courier writes that prince Charles was “very impressed”.

Imenco aquired the business in Wick recently from Kongsberg Maritime and manufactures underwater cameras at this location. The equipment is used in the oil and gas industry, ROVs, civil engineering and aquaculture.

Altogether Imenco has 75 employees in Scotland. 25 in Wick and 50 in Aberdeen.
